It's Baking Season

Usually I start to do a lot of baking and cooking experiments during Fall/Winter. But with my training I've had very little time to do so. Sunday's is my only full day in the kitchen when I'm food prepping for the week.

Yes... I have a slight pumpkin addiction. & don't say "eww" to the Vegan Pumpkin Mac & Cheese till you try it! Or if you don't like pumpkin, then I understand.

But I found this recipe & had to try it right away!

Gluten-Free, Vegan Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cupcakes with Cinnamon Glaze

Recipe adapted from Fitsugar.com

Makes 12 Cupcakes

Ingredients

For cupcakes:
1/3 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup nondairy milk (soy, almond, or rice) *I used Unsweetened Original Almond Breeze
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free All Purpose Baking Flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup chocolate chips *I used Enjoy Life Mini Chocolate Chips (dairy, nut & soy free)

For glaze:
1/4 cup brown rice syrup or honey *I used honey
1 tablespoon margarine or coconut oil, melted *I used Earth Balance Vegan butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch ground cinnamon (optional)

Directions

To make cupcakes: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line muffin tin with cupcake liners.
Whisk together oil, sugar, nondairy milk, and vanilla. Sift in flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gently whisk flour mixture until well combined. Fold in pumpkin, but do not overstir or the batter will become gummy. Fold in chocolate chips.

Fill liners two-thirds full. Bake for 24-26 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Transfer to a wire rack to let cool completely.

To make icing: Whisk together honey, margarine, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Using a fork, drizzle icing atop completely cooled cupcakes.

There they are in all their glory! They came out so good! My PIC even liked them, "I was expecting them to taste like cardboard!"

The only thing I would do different is since I used mini chocolate chips, use 1/3 cup next time. These kind of chips are actually pretty sweet & it was a bit too much. Also... no matter how cute the cupcake liner is  NEVER USE DOLLAR STORE CUPCAKE LINERS! I got all excited because they had candy corn on them... had to have them! Bad idea. Had to cut the cupcake out of the liners to eat them.

Hope everyone has a great night!

Wedding Bells

Since I have a bit of down time before my friends Halloween party I figured I'd do a little catch up!

Last week was absolutely insane. My workout schedule was way off (missed three days of cardio / doubled up back & shoulder days), eating was on course until friday & saturday night. It was all for a good reason though... Celebration time!

My best friend / P.I.C. got married! I still can't believe it came & went already. The Bride looked absolutely gorgeous, the weather was perfect & the ceremony/reception were so beautiful. Also, two years of stressing about doing her make up... I did a damn good job. Sho & Mike are the most amazing people & I was so honored to be apart of their special day.

Now with that said, time to get back on track with training, get my home put back together (looks like a storm blew through) & relax! I was a bit on edge this week because I was so disappointed in missing workouts & giving into "temptations." I have fantastic self control, but one minor slip up it's real hard for me to stop. Luckily, I talked with my trainer Whitney & also the always supporting "family". I really didn't think I could lift myself out of this one. I'm thankful for the support I have from them. Things get tough, but don't doubt yourself. Take a breath, refocus & get moving!

Happy to say I was at the gym by seven this morning; shoulders, legs, cardio & tomorrow I'll have off. So next week it's back to the grind hardcore! I got to do this!

Checking In

I didn't forget about you! Just been trying to adjust to this new schedule. It's slightly kicking my ass since I'm a night owl, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Almost one week down of this plan & wonder what the next will look like. Hoping I get more food options.

My supplements finally arrived Tuesday so I started taking them a day later as directed with my plan. I'm not suppose to have a "cheat" the first two weeks on this pretty strict meal plan but the other night I was ravenous so i had some extra almonds & a serving of brown rice. Water was not helping my rumbling belly. But otherwise I have been following it to a "T". I can be very disciplined when I want & you need a lot if you are doing this.

Wooo! Presents! Thank you bodybuilding.com!
One thing I have noticed though is I'm starting to go through the "roller coaster" as I've read about from some articles. This is a tough lifestyle change & you have to be willing & mentally ready to do it. I've already thought about giving up because I hate feeling the high/lows. I just like the highs! I'm a happy person. But I wont give up. I know I'm strong enough to do it whether its just me that believes or only two other people. I got this!

Tomorrow I will go more in depth about the above. Right now I need to hit the sack, 6AM cardio comes early!

Night everyone!

This was my delicious dinner. I love steak night! & I must admit
I'm pretty badass at grilling ;)

Big Anouncment

Randomly throwing it into a post a few day's ago I figured I would take the time to officially say that as of October 1st, I will begin my six month training program with AZ Pro Physiques to prepare for my first NPC show this Spring! Yes, I'm finally doing it after talking about it for a year.

Fitness & sports have held a huge spot in my heart for years. I'm a flat out tom boy who can't sit still. Working out, whether its weight training or cardio makes me happy. It's my release. I leave the gym & I'm in the best mood the rest of the night. I'm sure people think I'm crazy for how much I work out, but I love it & I'm not going to give up or be a slacker to something I love.

When I started eating clean & got in real good shape last November I came across a lot of competitors that became my fitspiration. Woman like Erin Stern, Jamie Eason, Kim Dolan Leto, Felicia Romero, Melissa Hall Larsen. These woman are so strong, healthy & had such inspiring stories on why they started competing. Soon after I started to get the itch & dreamed of hitting the stage one day. I figured why not give it a try.

Then I started dragging my feet for six months... & got a little out of shape.

But the thought never left my mind. After getting in contact with an NPC competitor & the support from a few close friends I decided to just go for it already! Make my dream a reality! Next day I contacted AZ Pro Physiques & signed up for their online training program. NJ is very limited on professional coaches for competition & If I wanted to do this right, I need to work with the best. After signing up I knew right then, there will be no turning back from this point. I'm going to do this!

I want to thank all my friends & family that have shown me such positive support & love; Tea, Kelly, Sho Sho, Brosephie, Mr. Leone, Miss Jen, Dad, Grandma & Grandpa T. Thank you so much for believing in me! I'm going to need all the positive reinforcement I can get, because from what I hear the road to competing can get rough & lonely. & I'm happy to know I have such amazing support along the way.

Competing is a huge commitment (especially financially) & is going to take a lot of time & discipline on my part. But no one can do this for me, I'm doing this myself & for me. GO BIG OR GO HOME!

Body Composition! These are my starting stats that I had done Tuesday night to send to my trainer :) Parker said my BMR is awesome for how small i am. ‘You're like a humming bird!’ & 68lb of muscle! My morning weight is 113lb. But I'll go with the 118lb

I'm excited to start this journey & so happy to share it with all of you!

Quick bit

What a busy day! PtW 5th Annual Golf Outing today &it's my fourth year volunteering at it. Getting a day to spend with co-workers, clients & being a part of such a great event always makes me feel so good. In working with PtW I've seen the organization grow so much & hope to continue to see it grow even larger in the future!

Volunteering is something I hold dear to my heart, I love being able to give back. My joy for volunteering started back in High School when I became a member of Key Club & by Senior year I was Vice President. Doing little things like baking cookies for Samaritan Inn or making little stuffed bears for a Children's Hospital. No matter what projects we had organized it always brought joy to my heart knowing no matter how small the act, I could possibly bring a smile to someones face & make their day. It's the most rewarding feeling to me. I live to help others.

After I graduated I made a promise to at least volunteer once a year (with college, studies & work I wasn't sure how much time I would actually have). I painted apartments for Samaritan Inn, donate my old clothes every year to my Grandma's church, & would find little thing to keep me active in volunteering.

I had a great opportunity come along when I received my internship from PtW. I knew right away this was an organization I wanted to be involved with & spread the word about. & almost four years later, I'm still delighted to be apart of it.

It's finally coming together

All the pieces are finally falling into place, one by one. I'm so excited to share that I will be starting my training with AZ Pro Physique!  It's taken almost a year of dreaming of competing & I'm finally going in the right direction! FINALLY!

The woman I've been in contact with has recommended I wait to do my first show in Spring so I'm in tip top shape. She's the professional so I'm going to do what ever she tells me. She's going to be like my yoda :)

Today was a pretty productive day; food shopping, logo design for a friends bagel & deli business (they loved it & picked one already!), bachlorette party bookings, finished my application & sent my before photos for AZ Pro... &...

Guess what I brought back in my life today... Food Prep Sunday Baby! It's kind of disturbing how much I missed it. But it just makes me happy when I do, I don't question it.

Shhh... my parents are on vacation so I used their kitchen to food prep today :) I mutilated the turkey all by myself!

Those "friends" you have

Time to talk about true friends & those "friends." I have had a lot of this in my life, everyone has at one point or another. Having so many people come in & out of my life through out the years (had this happen with two individuals quite recently); some have been with me for five / ten plus years, some were only there for five months. You learn everyday by others actions & words of what they truly think of you.

At first you may not realize it or you choose to ignore it because you on the other hand value the friendship & don't want to see it disappear. But I say it's the same with a relationship; If the effort is only one sided... don't expect it to work. It will eventually fall apart. It's all about give & take.

You know, those "friends" that only turn to you when they need something or have no one else to turn to, knowing you're dependable & will never turn them away. Those "friends" who when you need them in return, they are no where to be found. Those "friends" that will turn their back on you for the most ridiculous reasons. Also love the "fake" nice friends; you can tell inside they are gritting their teeth while trying to be nice.

Yeah... those friends... ARE A WASTE OF YOUR TIME! Because clearly they have shown you were a waste of their's. People grow apart & grow up; it's life. Yes it may hurt, but it will be alright & you will move on. I believe that certain people come into your life as a lesson, learn from it!

Surround yourself with the right people that lift you up, bring out the best in you & that make you shine! That show you they value your friendship just as much as you do! The second your having a bad day, you automatically reach out to the right people. Your brain knows who you can trust & so does your heart. Even if it's someone you haven't talked to for a few months, I bet they will answer as you would for them.

I know personally I should try harder to reach out, but we all get caught up in life. But I know the second I'm having a bad day or I need to talk, I know deep down who I can turn to.

I'm so grateful to have so many wonderful people in my life. The support & love I have from everyone, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

All I hope is to be the best for them as well.

Sometimes the road gets tough

Those tough moments; you can either let them defeat you or use them to make you stronger!

Try to make a long story short I hit a huge block, again. You know what, shit happens! I'm not perfect & I don't want to be. Lost sight of all the progress & hard work I had been doing for myself. Was it worth it? Yes but more of a no. Was it my fault? Absolutely. I have no reason to place blame on anyone. I'm also not going to sit there, cry & dwell on it. NO! It's not what I do. I'll pick myself up, brush myself off, cover up my wounds (with duct tape because it fixes everything) & move on. I've built myself up before from an extremely low point in my life almost a year ago & I'll do it again! I'm more determined then ever & I won't let distractions get in my way.

You need to stay true to yourself. Never give up! Never stop believing! Everyone has the power in them to take control, make positive changes for yourself  & in your life. NOTE: Your attitude can make it or break it. Also, don't expect it to happen over night! Toss your negativity, negative influences, negative individuals etc. because all they will do is turn you into someone you're not really a fan of (like what happened to me for four months).

Make it happen!

I would like some bacon with that cupcake please

I'ts not an official get together or Birthday celebration unless Sandy Crappy Cupcakes are involved. It was my Broseph's 9th Birthday (leap year baby!). He's been in hardcore bacon mode, so I knew I had to make a bacon cupcake. Also I knew this was the only Birthday present for him that couldn't get messed up! I had three failed attempts at gifts for him.

I have to say these are probably the most unhealthy cupcakes I've ever made... but totally delicious.

Maple Smoked X2 Bacon Cupcakes
Adapted from Bacontoday.com
About 24 cupcakes

Cupcake Ingredients
1 Box of Duncan Hines® Moist Delux Classic Yellow Cake Mix
1 single serve unsweetened apple sauce cup
3- 3 Tbsp egg whites
5 tablespoons brown sugar (I added more )
4 tablespoons maple syrup (I added more )
1 cup of minced hickorey smoked bacon, cooked and drained (I definietly put more bacon in the batter then that!)

- Cook some bacon in a fry pan (I used my George Foreman Grill). Mince bacon. The baker should try some to make sure the bacon is good & crispy.
;)

- Combined cake mix, apple sauce, egg whites, maple syrup & brown sugar.

- Scoop into cupcake papers and bake at 350 F for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Make sure you fill the cups more then you normally would. Because it's so moist I noticed mine sunk slightly.

Maple Syrup Frosting
1 Tub of Buttercream Frosting
Maple syrup. (depending on how much you want... same goes with the brown sugar)
Brown sugar.
Turbinado sugar (optional, but recommended).
Coarse grain sea salt (optional, but recommended).

- Combine syrup, brown sugar and frosting. Pipe or spread onto cupcakes. Add crubled bacon on top & sprinkle with sea salt & turbinado sugar for decoration & a lot of added flavor.

I would recommend using two packages of Hickory smoked bacon for these bad boys

Little lunch break bite for you

If some of you weren't aware whats been hiding in the "meat" at McDonald or didn't read this on yahoo! this morning, check out the article linked below.

McDonald’s confirms that it’s no longer using ‘pink slime’ chemical in hamburgers

Yummy!! Give me a spoon full of that!! Blah! I'm still not going back to eating there. Every time they say they "stop" using garbage additives & grossness a few years later "oohhh nooo we are for real removing it from the product this time. jk lolz! They totally bought it!"

I don't purchase Purdue, Tyson or any main stream meat brands because I don't trust their product labeling. I look for free range local area meats as much as possible. Recently found me some Bison! I've been searching for it since September!!

I've gone on kicks where I'd eat fast food, then stay away from it. Especially when I worked at BK for two weeks (yes two weeks). Didn't touch fast food for two years after that. I prefer knowing what I'm putting in my body now. If I want a damn double bacon cheese burger I'll pay the extra money & go to a restaurant to have one or make my own. At least I know it's fresher & I'll end up having left overs.

I'm very curious to see if this boosts their sales.

Who are you doing this for?

So browsing Pinterest (my new addiction!) I came across this image:

"I'm not getting fit so some guy will love me. I'm not getting fit so people can stare at me in a bikini. I'm not getting fit for the complements. Im getting fit so I can be HEALTHY. So I can feel good about myself. So I can be proud & say, "my hard work & perseverance really paid off." so I can live a long & healthy life. That's why I'm getting fit. For ME."

Now, I'm not saying I don't appreciate the compliments & the motivation I've been getting. It means so much to me because I've been working so hard the past five months. I've definitely had days where I have just wanted to give up. But I take a deep breath & remember why I started, how far I've come & the amazing change it has been for my mind & body. :) So a BIG thank you to everyone for your support!

Always keep in mind; Make positive changes for YOU! The only person you ever need to prove anything to is yourself. Whether it's a fitness or just a general ambition. You have the power to make it happen! I believe in you!

I learned my lesson

Happy Sunday everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I will hopefully have a few ready for today.

So I went out last night with a few people. Chinese buffet anyone? Chinese food has not been on the menu for me since I started this venture. I've had Japanese (sushi lol). It's safe to say I will never eat Chinese again.

Granted, I over did it; had ice cream as well. Figured, "I've been so good, I deserve to enjoy it." This also ended up being the gateway to tones of M&Ms & white cheddar popcorn. The outcome was quite terrible. Woke up with what I'd call a sugar & toxic food hangover. I felt like I was back in college; how you felt the morning after a crazy weekend party. Started feeling sick on the ride home too but my thought, "it's late & my luck a cop will see me on the side of the road puking my brains out & think I'm intoxicated." Made it home just in time!

Now, I need to pump up on as much tea as possible & try to get my stomach back to normal. I have a small workout scheduled & a three mile run to complete (I started half marathon training). I can't let this bring me down.

Lesson:
I will stick to eating sushi.

There is green stuff in my drink

Delicious green stuff that is jam packed with good nutrition for your body! :)

I decided to finally take the plunge & try this so called Green Monster. I was stalling when I first read about it a few months ago because one of the main ingredients that gives it that lovely green color... Yup it's spinach. My first thought was... "G-ross. I'd rather eat a spinach salad than mix it with milk & fruit."

But it's true what other people have said about it. You do not taste the spinach at all! Plus its a good way to get extra nutrients & sneak in extra veggies!

Green Monster
Adapted from Oh She Glows
1 Serving

1 cup vanilla unsweetened almond milk, or milk of choice
1 oz ripe banana, preferably peeled + frozen
1 cup spinach
1 ice cube
1 tbsp protein powder of choice, optional

- Add milk, protein powder, spinach, banana & ice cube on top. Blend until smooth.

It was so good! I'm definitely going to make this more often. I think I'll add more spinach to it next time too.

It's paying off

So after body blast tonight, I stopped to talk to the instructor to tell her how much I enjoy taking her classes. She said to me, "Thank you so much! You're in fantastic shape!! This is all about maintaining for you. You have probably been this way your whole life!" Then I told her no I haven't, that I've recently lost 20lbs. She looked at me in such shock, "What's your secret!?"

It was so rewarding to hear that from her because honestly, this whole change has been a lot of work.

Note: Everyone’s body is different! I am not a doctor, nutritionist, or Registered Dietitian.  What works for me may not work for someone else. For specific questions regarding your diet & exercise, contact a professional.

...but this is my break down.

My not so secret: A lot of research & dedication, support from a few & Turbofire.

First, I had to start looking into nutrition; & when I say I had too… I had too. I'm going to try & keep this part short, I'll write more about it later.

I have been back & forth to my Doctor. for the past two years because my body has just been off. No motivation, I'm always tired, cold & I was just unhappy. I finally decided to stop pushing it off & go get checked out (I'm as bad as a guy when it comes to going to the Doctor.). I've had blood work multiple times, been tested for everything under the sun; diabetes, anemia, et caetera. I've had an EKG. All they found was a Vitamin D deficiency & low blood pressure (When I was laying down it was 100/60… I sat up it dropped 90/50). I was told to take a Vitamin D supplement & eat more frozen meals, drink PowerAde or Gatorade. Then things got much worse this past summer.

I have had bad stomach issues that I started to notice a lot in High School. Me being me I ignored it of course, until it got extremely worse in July 2011. I was uncomfortable; my body looked bloated & packed on major poundage (22lbs) . Back to the Doctor I went. He started me on a ten day cleanse & told me during that time to remove certain things from my diet & try to reintroduce them. If I started acting up again, then we found the problem. I immediately started doing nutrition research. I was determined to find out what the hell was wrong with my body once & for all! I was tired of feeling the way I did.

Nutrition Research: A whole lot of it! From different books & materials (I started out with The Eat Clean Diet Recharged & several online sources). I decided to cut out processed foods & sugar as much as possible. This was very challenging, because I always looked for convenience with my schedule. Now, I'm not saying that I ate out every night. I just bought & made things that were loaded in preservatives. I refer to those foods as "toxic foods": the enemy. I also cut gluten from my diet after reading an article in Oxygen Magazine... I had most of the symptoms of a gluten allergy (I have not been tested, but I was advised by my doctor to remove things from my diet to see what worked. You should consult a Doctor before making any diet changes, like going gluten free.)

Clean eating is not a diet, it's a lifestyle.
The easiest way I can describe it, is that everything is fresh! If it can go bad, I eat it. I follow most of the "rules", but not all of them. Don't let the word "clean" make you think that food has to taste like cardboard. I would not have lasted five seconds if it was. I love spice, I love flavor & food! That's why spices exist, so use them! I do still use condiments for cooking like Dijon mustard, salsa, hot sauce  et caetera, but I don't over use them & I buy the natural versions because they have less additives. Also, no salt-added! I can add my own salt, thank you.

More importantly, I have learned how to feed my body the right food it needs for natural energy & to function like normal; I eat six times a day (I have never been a breakfast person, now I eat it everyday), I have learned good carbs from bad carbs, certain fats are actually ok, non-fat is not necessarily better for you... I could seriously keep going.

Yes... I do allow a "cheat" meal or snack. Yes I said or.
I know it will make my body lag the next day, but I feel I'm aloud to treat myself. But, I also have to have self control. I don't have a full out cheat day, I have a snack or a meal once a week or once every two weeks. Mine are usually the meal, I just watch my portions.

With mild exercise (which mostly consisted of moving) I dropped 15lbs in two months. Yes, I thought it was pretty fast; but I realized my body was finally absorbing the nutrients it's needed & naturally detoxed itself. Now by exercising six days a week & strength training, I’m building muscle- which is burning fat, which is what helped me lose the last 5lbs.

The change in my eating habits hasn't only helped my body; it's had a huge impact on my mind as well. I’m confident in myself (which I have never been a day in my life), I have a positive mindset, I'm full of energy & I'm happy. I feel like a new person.

Conclusion: Processed food & my body do not work well together.

I will post about exercise later... this post was huge!

What I believe:
Figure out a game plan & make small changes one at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. (I should have done this because I was very overwhelmed with everything!)
You need good nutrition to get the results you want for your body. You can not out exercise a bad diet!
Do not starve yourself! Don't skip breakfast.
"If your food can go bad, it's good for you. If it can't go bad, it's bad for you!"
I don't buy anything if I don't understand the ingredients. I'm a hardcore label reader.
I do not buy all organic! Certain fruits & veggies yes, ones with thinner skin.

Usually a BIG no no!

Went to Cardio Barre for the first time tonight. It has the same instructor as the Brazilian Body Blast class, I think she is great! Love her energy. Of course after class I had to run to the store because I needed some spinach... & I was starving. My whey protien wasn't cutting it. Usually that's one of the worst things you can possibly do, big no no unless you have real great self control... I openly admit I sometimes lack this.

Well... this is what I picked up...

Wow

I looked at it when I got home & laughed. Five months ago you better believe that basket would have been full of Swedish fish, ice cream, lean cuisines & chips  et caetera. It just showed I'm making better choices for my body & I've formed a really good habit. I don't even have to really think about it anymore.

Chocolate peppermint cookies

I go through what I like to call my holiday flavor stages. Fall: All about the pumpkin, apples & spices. Winter: Mint & peppermint. Spring & Summer: I'm kind of spacing on that right now. I know one is pineapple.

My first attempt at making these cookies was an absolute failure. I used the wrong sugar... long story short they imploded when I took them out of the oven & almost ruined my cookie sheets :x. I was so disappointed. So I figured I'd give it another shot, with the right sugar & nailed it!

These babies are crispy on the outside & chewy/soft on the inside.

Guess what?!
 They are flour-less!

Chewy Chocolate Peppermint Cookies
Adapted from Dashing Dish
15 min (prep time)
About 12 cookies (I had more)
* marks what I substituted

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar OR for sugar free option *she used Ideal, I used Domino powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder1/2 tsp baking powder *Aluminum-free baking powder
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp salt *sea salt
1 tbs skim milk *Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk
1/8 cup Andes peppermint crunch baking chips *I just used the regular Andes peppermint crunch indulgences, crushed up 2 pieces & I had enough for all my cookies

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper, or foil sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

- Mix together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, salt & baking powder in a bowl.

- Place egg whites and milk in another small bowl, & stir to combine. Mix wet & dry ingredients together, until just combined, but don’t over beat.

- Using a tablespoon, scoop up cookie batter, & use a teaspoon to drop cookie batter onto prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle peppermint chips on cookies, dividing evenly between cookies.

Bake cookies for about 15 minutes, & enjoy!

I kept them in an air tight container & they stayed fresh until the last cookie. My Grandma & Grandpa had some. Grandpa of course is still raving about them. My nicknames from him have evolved from Dee, my genius, & now cupcake kid.  :)

I think I'll try them with the regular Andes next time!

Houston we have a couch

You don't understand how exciting this is for me. You're probably thinking, "Wow she's nuts... what is so exciting about a couch?!" I have all my furniture, everything is pretty much set up & where I want it. Even though I loved using my living room as a huge open work out area (my work out space in the loft isn't quite done yet... loft is in hott-mess stage at the moment), my condo just looked so empty with out a couch. I've been sitting in my lovely pink Gander Mountain camping chair while playing Black Ops & watching movies. The couch was ordered on 11/20/11! Didn't think it was going to take so long, but apparently it was being manufactured & shipped from Massachusetts.

So here it is! The couch... in all it's glory...

Grandma even got to enjoy it... she's too cute.

Now I'm all set! Plus I still have room to do my workouts... that makes me a happy camper ;)  I tested it out & did some Turbofire: Fire 45 EZ Class, Core 20 & Stretch 10. Oh yeah!! I even did it with the hand weights on for the first time... loves it!

Now I'm just enjoying some time breaking in my couch doing some food / workout research watching Elvira's Movie Macabre. I freakin' love her, she's one of my idols. Any Horror fans... can you guess the Movie she's featuring?! :)
